

The air temperature ranges from 28-34 degrees Celsius year-round and water temperature averages 28 degrees Celsius.
Although it feels quite hot wearing only shorts and T-shirt, it's wise to cover up against the strong tropical sun. During the evenings a long sleeve shirt may be needed if there’s a sea breeze.
The northwest monsoon runs from December-March and is typified by regular rain showers, followed by bright tropical sunshine as they pass. Humidity at this time of year is at its highest. A lightweight waterproof hiker’s jacket is handy for these conditions. It is these winds from the northwest that bring in the swell, which creates great surf.
During the months of April-May and October-November the area undergoes a transitional stage with generally light and variable winds. The waters are at their calmest and daytime temperatures reach their highest.
The southeast trade wind season generally runs from June to September, offering consistent wind from the southeast, but no surf.
Diving is possible all year round due to the shape of the land masses, which always enable protected sites to be chosen.
